In Thursday's non-league outing, the Newark Memorial Cougars (Newark, CA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Concord Minutemen (Concord, CA), by a margin of 62-29.

The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against American (Fremont, CA). The Eagles go into the Mission Valley outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, American smashed Dougherty Valley (San Ramon, CA), 65-47, in a non-league outing.
