The East St. John Wildcats basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting East Ascension Spartans to 42 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Lafourche for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 28.

The Spartans (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Terrebonne (Houma, LA). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record.
