The Talawanda Braves basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Monroe Hornets to 33 in the Braves non-league victory on Thursday.

The Braves now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ross for a Southwest Ohio contest on Wednesday, January 4.

The Hornets (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bellbrook (Bellbrook, OH). The Golden Eagles come into the Southwestern Buckeye - East contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, Bellbrook prevailed over Franklin (Franklin, OH), 72-38, in a league contest.
