Missouri High School Basketball - Albany holds off Gilman City
December 8, 2023: Albany, MO 64402 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Albany Warriors (Albany, MO) and the visiting Gilman City Hawks (Gilman City, MO), saw Albany's basketball squad hold off Gilman City by a tally of 52-47.
With the victory, Albany improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Warriors host Worth County (Grant City, MO) to confront the Tigers in a Grand River West challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Worth County won 71-48 in their recent league challenge against King City (King City, MO)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Pattonsburg Panthers (Pattonsburg, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Gilman City will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 87-51 league loss to Princeton (Princeton, MO).
