In Friday's non-league outing, the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) basketball squad felled the host Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM), by a margin of 59-42.

The Scorpions (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Capital (Santa Fe, NM). The Jaguars enter the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Capital overcame Pecos (Pecos, NM), 55-53, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Pojoaque Valley moves to 3-2 on the year. The Elks/elkettes travel to Pecos (Pecos, NM) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Saturday, December 9.
