December 8, 2023: Florence, MS 39073 The Florence Eagles basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Richland Rangers to 49 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Florence will meet a Panthers team coming off a 69-47 non-league win over Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 6-2.
The Rangers (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Jefferson Davis County was routed by Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS), 61-48, in a non-league contest.
