Kentucky High School Basketball - Franklin County can't hold off Woodford County
December 8, 2023: Frankfort, KY 40601 The Franklin County Flyers basketball team (Frankfort, KY), was nudged 72-66 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Woodford County Yellowjackets (Versailles, KY)
The Yellowjackets now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anderson County for a District 30 battle on Friday, December 8. Woodford County will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 50-47 non-league win over Grant County (Dry Ridge, KY). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-1.
The Flyers (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Lafayette (Lexington, KY). The Generals come into the non-league battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Lafayette was nudged by Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY), 66-64, in a non-league battle.
