December 8, 2023: Springfield, IL 62711 The Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Unity Christian Lions (Decatur, IL), 66-35 in Friday's non-league test.
The Crusaders (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Athens (Athens, IL). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Athens was trounced by Calvary (Springfield, IL), 61-55, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Warrensburg-Latham for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Unity Christian will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 70-65 non-league win over Meridian (Macon, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-1.
