December 8, 2023: , The Tournament Opponent basketball team (, ), was overwhelmed 58-20 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting McGregor Bulldogs (McGregor, TX)
The Bulldogs now possess a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sam Rayburn for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 9. McGregor will battle a Rebels team coming off a 52-30 non-league win over Riesel (Riesel, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 9-3.
