The Rivera Raiders basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Rio Hondo Bobcats to 40 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Raiders now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Miller for a non-league contest on Sunday, December 10. Rivera will meet a Buccaneers team coming off a 56-40 non-league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-6.

The Bobcats (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Monte Alto (Monte Alto, TX). The Blue Devil enter the 3A Region IV District 32 contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Monte Alto was outscored by San Isidro (San Isidro, TX), 65-42, in a non-league contest.
