Texas High School Basketball - Abilene tops Hawley
December 8, 2023: Abilene, TX 79603 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) and the visiting Hawley Bearcats (Hawley, TX), saw Abilene's basketball squad knock off Hawley by a tally of 51-33.
With the victory, Abilene improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Wylie (Abilene, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 5A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. Wylie lost 44-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Cisco (Cisco, TX)
Next up, the Bearcats play the Coahoma Bulldogs (Coahoma, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 27. Hawley will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record.
