Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Augusta Panthers (Augusta, KY), 56-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nicholas County upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Bluejackets travel to Paris (Paris, KY) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 0-5. Paris lost 48-44 in their recent non-league bout against Western Hills (Frankfort, KY)

Next up, the Panthers play the Bishop Brossart Mustangs (Alexandria, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Augusta will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 63-17 non-league win over Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY).
