Texas High School Basketball - Martinsville overwhelms Carlisle
December 8, 2023: Price, TX 75687 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Martinsville Pirates (Martinsville, TX) and the host Carlisle Indians (Price, TX), saw Martinsville's basketball squad wallop Carlisle by a tally of 60-25.
With the victory, Martinsville improves its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Pirates host Slocum (Elkhart, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 1A Region IV District 27 challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Slocum lost 44-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Cushing (Cushing, TX)
Next up, the Indians play the Douglass Indians (Douglass, TX) in a 2A Region III District 22 challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Carlisle will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record.
