The Central Heights Blue Devils basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Lovelady Lions to 34 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Friday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodville for a 3A Region III District 21 contest on Tuesday, December 19.

The Lions (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against LaPoynor (LaRue, TX). The Flyers enter the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, LaPoynor was outscored by Broaddus (Broaddus, TX), 58-55, in a non-league contest.
