Virginia High School Basketball - La Plata tops Colonial Beach
December 8, 2023: Colonial Beach, VA 22443 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD) and the host Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA), saw La Plata's basketball squad knock off Colonial Beach by a count of 52-37.
With the victory, La Plata upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 13. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Calvert lost 44-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD)
Next up, the Drifters play the Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 11. Colonial Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 51-31 league loss to Charles City (Charles City, VA).
