December 8, 2023: Jessieville, AR 71949 The Jessieville Lions (Jessieville, AR) basketball crushed the visiting Cossatot River Eagles (Cove, AR), 50-19 in Friday's non-league test.
The Lions (11-0) will now prepare for their test against Genoa Central (Texarkana, AR). The Dragons go into the 3A Region 7 test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Genoa Central was trounced by Parkers Chapel (El Dorado, AR), 59-46, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mena for a non-league test on Saturday, December 9. Cossatot River will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 60-37 non-league loss to Wright City (Wright City, OK). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-4.
