Kansas High School Basketball - Southwest nips Decatur Community

December 8, 2023: Oberlin, KS 67749

Southwest Roughriders (Bartley, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Decatur Community Red Devils (Oberlin, KS), 38-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southwest upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Roughriders travel to Alma (Alma, NE) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Alma won 42-39 in their recent non-league bout against Wilcox-Hildreth (Wilcox, NE)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Medicine Valley Raiders (Curtis, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Decatur Community will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 39-33 non-league loss to Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE).
