December 8, 2023: Weatherford, TX 76088 Gholson (Waco, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Garner (Weatherford, TX), 50-29 in a non-league match.
In their next game, the meet the Walnut Springs Hornets (Walnut Springs, TX) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 9. Gholson will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 45-27 non-league loss to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, TX).
With the defeat, Garner moves to 4-6 on the year. The travel to Graford (Graford, TX) to clash with the Rabbits in a 1A Region III District 21 bout on Tuesday, December 12.
