Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hoover Cardinals (San Diego, CA) and the visiting Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA), saw Hoover's basketball squad hold off Palo Verde Valley by a count of 52-51.

With the victory, Hoover upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Academy of Our Lady of Peace (San Diego, CA) to play the Pilots in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 11. The Pilots come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Academy of Our Lady of Peace lost 63-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Poway (Poway, CA)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Brawley Wildcats (Brawley, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Palo Verde Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
