California High School Basketball - West Shores nips Mountain Empire
December 8, 2023: Salton City, CA 92275 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Shores Wildcats (Salton City, CA) and the visiting Mountain Empire Redhawks (Pine Valley, CA), saw West Shores's basketball squad hold off Mountain Empire by a tally of 24-21.
With the victory, West Shores improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host San Jacinto Valley Academy (San Jacinto, CA) to play the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 9. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. San Jacinto Valley Academy won 39-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Mountain Empire (Pine Valley, CA)
Next up, the Redhawks play the Calipatria Hornets (Calipatria, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Mountain Empire will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 39-24 non-league loss to Hamilton (Anza, CA).
