December 8, 2023: Newcastle, TX 76372 Newcastle Bobcats (Newcastle, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Whiteface Antelopes (Whiteface, TX), 45-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Newcastle upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Bryson (Bryson, TX) to face the Cowboys in a 1A Region III District 21 game on Tuesday, December 12. The Cowboys enter the game with a record of 0-8. Bryson lost 38-22 in their recent non-league game against Archer City (Archer City, TX)
With the defeat, Whiteface moves to 12-3 on the year. The Antelopes travel to Meadow (Meadow, TX) to face the Broncos in a 1A Region I District 7 game on Tuesday, December 12. The Broncos enter the game with a record of 8-5.
