Illinois High School Basketball - St. Laurence holds off Aurora Central Catholic
December 8, 2023: Burbank, IL 60459 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL) and the visiting Aurora Central Catholic Chargers (Aurora, IL), saw St. Laurence's basketball squad hold off Aurora Central Catholic by a tally of 23-22.
With the victory, St. Laurence improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Chargers confront the Resurrection Bandits (Chicago, IL) in a challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Aurora Central Catholic will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Bandits come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 33-11 non-league loss to Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL).
