Illinois High School Basketball - Leo nips Brother Rice
December 8, 2023: Chicago, IL 60620 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Leo Lions (Chicago, IL) and the visiting Brother Rice Crusaders (Chicago, IL), saw Leo's basketball squad hold off Brother Rice by a count of 52-45.
With the victory, Leo upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Lions host St. Francis (Wheaton, IL) to play the Spartans in a challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. St. Francis lost 44-38 in their recent league challenge against De La Salle (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the Crusaders play the De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL) in a challenge, on Friday, December 15. Brother Rice will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Meteors come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 56-35 league win over Marmion (Aurora, IL).
