New York High School Basketball - Lackawanna overwhelmed by St. Francis
December 8, 2023: Hamburg, NY 14010 The St. Francis Red Raiders basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Lackawanna Steelers to 39 in the Red Raiders non-league victory on Friday.
The Red Raiders now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williamsville North for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. St. Francis will battle a Spartans team coming off a 51-41 non-league loss to Nichols (Buffalo, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 1-1.
The Steelers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Timon-St. Jude (Buffalo, NY). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Bishop Timon-St. Jude triumphed over Western New York Maritime Charter (Buffalo, NY), 89-15, in a non-league contest.
