The Pierce Bears basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Mariposa County Grizzlies to 24 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Argonaut for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Pierce will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 95-39 non-league loss to Roseville (Roseville, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-4.

The Grizzlies (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Caruthers (Caruthers, CA). The Blue Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Caruthers was routed by Reedley (Reedley, CA), 34-31, in a non-league contest.
