December 8, 2024: Wakefield, RI 02879 The crowd at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) and the visiting Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI), witnessed Prout's ice hockey team defeat Cranston West by a final score of 8-0.
The Crusaders (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Broncos come into the State Championship Division challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Burrillville was routed by King Philip Regional (Wrentham, MA), 6-2, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Falcons battle the Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Friday, December 13. Cranston West will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Oakers come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 7-1 non-league loss to Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI).
