December 8, 2025: Brockwell, AR 72517 The Cave City Cavemen basketball squad (Cave City, AR), was crushed 68-37 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR)
With the victory, Izard County advances its record to 1-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Sloan-Hendrix (Imboden, AR) to battle the Greyhounds in a 2A Region 2 challenge on Friday, December 12. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. Sloan-Hendrix won 50-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Batesville (Batesville, AR)
In their next game, the Cavemen battle the Valley Springs Tigers (Valley Springs, AR) in a 3A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, December 9. Cave City will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record.
