The Blue Earth Buccaneers basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers to 61 in the Buccaneers league triumph on Thursday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to United South Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 14. Blue Earth will battle a Rebels team coming off a 60-56 league loss to Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (Janesville, MN). The Rebels record now stands at 0-2.

Next up, the Chargers play the Springfield Tigers (Springfield, MN) in a A Section 2 bout, on Friday, December 17. Minnesota Valley Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
