Canyon Springs Pioneers (North Las Vegas, NV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Western Warriors (Las Vegas, NV), 78-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canyon Springs upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Pioneers host Cheyenne (North Las Vegas, NV) to play the Desert Shields in a non-league bout on Friday, December 10. The Desert Shields go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Cheyenne lost 66-59 in their recent non-league bout against Shadow Ridge (Las Vegas, NV)

Next up, the Warriors play the The Meadows School Mustangs (Las Vegas, NV) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 17. Western will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 77-35 league win over White Pine (Ely, NV).
