Louisiana High School Basketball - North Vermilion can't hold off DeRidder
December 9, 2021: Maurice, LA 70555 The DeRidder Dragons basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host North Vermilion Patriots to 40 in the Dragons non-league victory on Thursday.
The Dragons now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iota for a non-league contest on Friday, December 10. DeRidder will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 80-74 non-league loss to Lake Arthur (Lake Arthur, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-3.
The Patriots (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Crowley (Crowley, LA). The Gent come into the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Crowley was nudged by Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA), 49-42, in a non-league contest.
