In Thursday's non-league outing, the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Donna Redskins (Donna, TX), by a count of 53-35.

The Sabercats (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 5-8 record. In their last outing, McAllen Memorial was topped by Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX), 64-61, in a non-league outing.
