Texas High School Basketball - Floydada thwarts Slaton
December 9, 2021: Floydada, TX 79235 The Floydada Whirlwinds (Floydada, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Slaton Tigers (Slaton, TX), 70-61 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Whirlwinds (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Sudan (Sudan, TX). The Hornets go into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Sudan went down by All Saints Episcopal School (Lubbock, TX), 47-25, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Kingdom Prep Academy for a non-league test on Friday, December 10. Slaton will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 59-44 non-league loss to Floydada (Floydada, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 4-3.
