Texas High School Basketball - Avinger edges Daingerfield
December 9, 2021: Avinger, TX 75630 The Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Daingerfield Tigers (Daingerfield, TX), 52-47 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Indians (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Yantis (Yantis, TX). The Owls go into the 1A Region III District 24 test with a 10-2 record. In their last test, Yantis got by Brookeland (Brookeland, TX), 40-37, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Ore City for a non-league test on Friday, December 10. Daingerfield will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 84-25 non-league loss to East Texas Homeschool Sports (Longview, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 1-5.
