The Polk County Wolverines basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats to 31 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wolverines now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rosman for a non-league contest on Friday, December 10. Polk County will battle a Tigers team coming off a 53-48 non-league win over Highlands (Highlands, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 5-0.

The Bobcats (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Braves enter the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Cherokee ran past Tuscola (Waynesville, NC), 64-40, in a non-league contest.
