Clarksdale Wildcats (Clarksdale, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host McEvans Warriors (Shaw, MS), 51-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clarksdale upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS) to play the Red Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Red Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Warriors play the Pine Grove Panthers (Ripley, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. McEvans will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 49-37 non-league loss to Biggersville (Corinth, MS).
