Texas High School Basketball - Dime Box holds off Florence
December 9, 2022: Florence, TX 76527 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Dime Box Longhorns (Dime Box, TX) and the host Florence Buffaloes (Florence, TX), saw Dime Box's basketball squad hold off Florence by a tally of 41-40.
With the victory, Dime Box improves its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Fayetteville (Fayetteville, TX) to confront the Lions in a 1A Region IV District 29 challenge on Friday, December 16. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Fayetteville won 74-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Louise (Louise, TX)
Next up, the Buffaloes confront the Johnson City Eagles (Johnson City, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 10. Florence will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 51-41 non-league loss to Holland (Holland, TX).
