Texas High School Basketball - King knocked off by Houston Christian
December 9, 2022: Houston, TX 77043 The Houston Christian Mustangs basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting King Panthers to 62 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 11-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Michael's for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Houston Christian will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 76-65 non-league win over John Paul II (Plano, TX). The Crusaders record now stands at 11-4.
The Panthers (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Kingwood (Kingwood, TX). The Mustangs enter the 6A Region III District 21 contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Kingwood ran past Westbury (Houston, TX), 46-40, in a non-league contest.
