Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the McGregor Bulldogs (McGregor, TX) and the host Vanguard College Prep Vikings (Waco, TX), saw McGregor's basketball squad hold off Vanguard College Prep by a count of 48-42.

With the victory, McGregor upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Mildred (Corsicana, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 10. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Mildred lost 87-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Grandview (Grandview, TX)

Next up, the Vikings play the Providence Prep Rams (Belton, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. Vanguard College Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
