The Venture Academy Mustangs basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Merced Bears to 45 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Turlock for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Venture Academy will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 67-65 non-league win over Beyer (Modesto, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-3.

The Bears (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ceres (Ceres, CA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Ceres was defeated by Central Valley (Ceres, CA), 62-46, in a non-league contest.
