Texas High School Basketball - Nixon-Smiley tops Weimar
December 9, 2022: Weimar, TX 78962 Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Weimar Wildcats (Weimar, TX), 53-35 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Nixon-Smiley upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Moulton (Moulton, TX) to play the Bobkatz in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Bobkatz come into the bout with a record of 6-3. Moulton won 37-33 in their recent non-league bout against Weimar (Weimar, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Shiner Comanches (Shiner, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Weimar will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Comanches come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 38-36 non-league loss to Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX).
