In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Samuell Spartans basketball team scored a tight 64-58 triumph over the Village Tech Viper Squid.

In their next game, the Spartans meet the North Forney Falcons (Forney, TX) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, December 13. Samuell will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 10-4 record after their 72-62 non-league loss to Greenville (Greenville, TX).
