Elk Grove Thundering Herd (Elk Grove, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Center Cougars (Antelope, CA), 43-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elk Grove upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Thundering Herd travel to Monterey Trail (Elk Grove, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Monterey Trail lost 27-26 in their recent non-league bout against Mountain House (Mountain House, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the River City Raiders (West Sacramento, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Center will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 54-50 non-league win over Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA).
