Westview Knights (Avondale, AZ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ), 59-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Westview upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Knights host Canyon View (Waddell, AZ) to play the Jaguars in a bout on Saturday, January 7. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Hawks play the Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 15. Gila Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
