Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Academy of the New Church overwhelms Springside Chestnut Hill Academy
December 9, 2022: Philadelphia, PA 19118 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA) and the host Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Blue Devils (Philadelphia, PA), saw Academy of the New Church's basketball squad wallop Springside Chestnut Hill Academy by a tally of 53-32.
With the victory, Academy of the New Church improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Gwynedd Mercy Academy (Gwynedd Valley, PA) to play the Monarchs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 10. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Gwynedd Mercy Academy won 51-18 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Hubert Catholic for Girls (Philadelphia, PA)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the William Penn Charter Quakers (Philadelphia, PA) in a Inter-Academic challenge, on Friday, December 16. Springside Chestnut Hill Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
