Texas High School Basketball - Bowie nips Miller Grove
December 9, 2022: Cumby, TX 75433 Bowie Pirates (Simms, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Miller Grove Hornets (Cumby, TX), 46-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bowie upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Pirates travel to North Hopkins (Sulphur Springs, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-7. North Hopkins won 61-59 in their recent non-league bout against Rivercrest (Bogata, TX)
Next up, the Hornets play the Savoy Cardinals (Savoy, TX) in a 1A Region III District 23 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Miller Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 37-32 non-league loss to Harts Bluff (Mt. Pleasant, TX).
