Texas High School Basketball - Lorena trounces Clifton
December 9, 2022: Lorena, TX 76655 The Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Clifton Cubs (Clifton, TX), 51-28 in Friday's non-league test.
The Leopards (12-3) will now prepare for their test against Lexington (Lexington, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region III District 19 test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Lexington was trounced by Moulton (Moulton, TX), 46-42, in a non-league test.
The Cubs now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Keene for a 3A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, December 13. Clifton will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 61-22 non-league win over Carter-Riverside (Fort Worth, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 13-3.
