The Rio Mesa Spartans basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Duarte Falcons to 36 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buena for a Channel contest on Monday, December 12. Rio Mesa will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 52-41 non-league loss to Canyon (Canyon Country, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-3.

The Falcons (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pomona (Pomona, CA). The Red Devils enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Pomona was outscored by Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, CA), 75-17, in a non-league contest.
