Texas High School Basketball - Quanah thwarts Floydada
December 9, 2022: Floydada, TX 79235 The Quanah Indians (Quanah, TX) basketball knocked off the host Floydada Whirlwinds (Floydada, TX), 54-34 in Friday's non-league test.
The Indians (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Guthrie (Guthrie, TX). The Jaguars go into the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Guthrie went down by Paducah (Paducah, TX), 57-20, in a non-league test.
The Whirlwinds now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Hale Center for a 2A Region I District 4 test on Tuesday, December 13. Floydada will encounter a Owls squad coming off a 49-39 non-league loss to Farwell (Farwell, TX). The Owls record now stands at 11-4.
