Texas High School Basketball - Giddings thwarts Port Aransas
December 9, 2022: Port Aransas, TX 78373 The Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX) basketball knocked off the host Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX), 39-25 in Friday's non-league test.
The Buffaloes (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Nordheim (Nordheim, TX). The Pirates go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Nordheim notched a victory over Fayetteville (Fayetteville, TX), 32-25, in a non-league test.
The Marlins now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Yorktown for a 2A Region IV District 31 test on Friday, December 16. Port Aransas will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 55-30 league win over Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-10.
