Texas High School Basketball - Mexia overwhelms Travis
December 9, 2022: Austin, TX 78704 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX) and the host Travis Rebels (Austin, TX), saw Mexia's basketball squad wallop Travis by a count of 55-20.
With the victory, Mexia upgrades its record to 16-1 on the campaign. The Black Cats travel to Immanuel Christian (El Paso, TX) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 9. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 10-0. Immanuel Christian won 38-19 in their recent non-league challenge against Lutheran (San Antonio, TX)
Next up, the Rebels play the Crockett Cougars (Austin, TX) in a 5A Region III District 24 challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Travis will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 44-42 league win over Eastside Early College (Austin, TX).
